About Me & My Approach

Welcome.  I am Shaline Miller & founder of Shaline Miller Wellness. I am a Certified Holistic Nutrition & Lifestyle Coach, Raw Food Educator, author, Holistic Nutrition Consultant, & a certified NLP Practitioner. I write for The Examiner as their Santa Ana Digestive Health Examiner,  I am a featured health blogger for Modern Mom & have been featured in Mommie Again.  I specialize in Asian Holistic Nutrtion, Meal Planning. Raw Food Education, & Clean Food Detoxing.

My background & how I became a Holistic Nutrition + Lifestyle Coach I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Human Resources Management from California State University Long Beach. I worked in aerospace for seven years then become a stay-at-home mom for 15 years.  I divorced after 16 years of marriage & re-entered the work force. I worked temporary jobs before landing a position as an Assistant Property Manager.  I worked in commercial real estate/property management for three years before becoming one of the “unemployed” statistics. This led me to pursue my passion: nutrition & helping people get healthy as well as myself.  It is my health issues with acid reflux that led me to study holistic nutrition & become a Health Coach.  I took several acid reflux medications but found that none of them alleviated my acid reflux. One day, I decided that I needed to stop taking the medication & make some changes. I naturally alleviated my acid reflux symptoms by changing my diet & making lifestyle changes.

I received my Professional Nutrition, Diet, & Health Certificate from Ashworth College & am a member of the International Honor Society Delta Epsilon Tau having graduated with honors. I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories & studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, & goals. We are all different & there is no one size fits all!

As your Health Coach, my mission & passion is to inspire women like you to embrace your age, love your bodies, & be the healthiest, happiest, & most beautiful versions of yourselves. My Training

I received a Professional Nutrition, Diet, & Health Certificate from Ashworth College. I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program.

During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, & innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health & wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author & expert on emotional eating; & many other leading researchers & nutrition authorities.

My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, & preventive health. Drawing on these skills & my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real & lasting results.
